Birds on Santiago Island, Vogelbeobachtung auf Santiago

Here some of the birds I saw recently:

(mostly from the hide at the reservoir)

 In our garden: Passerinho:



Cattle Egret, drinking and bathing.

 
 

Common Moorhen

We found a dead Egretta garzetta with a string tied round its leg.

Greenshank calling

 

Little Ringed Plover, Flussregenpfeifer

Like last year: a Spooted Crake, Tüpfelsumpfhuhn.

Probably Common Sandpiper and not Spotted, like last year.
